Daily Painting
Artist's Academy EditorsDescription
Choosing simple subjects will speed up the process. The point to daily painting is to do it quickly and efficiently. You can paint something different every time or paint the same subject over and over again. The skills and knowledge that you will develop through this practice will be rapid. Spend the time that you have on your paintings. That may be a little time or it may be a lot- the important thing is that you do it. And if the painting turns out well you can put it up for sale and it will be a nice size for most people to be able to afford. If it doesn’t then you can wipe the painting off and use the panel again tomorrow.
As Stacy continues on in the painting, she keeps it loose and very direct. She makes quick decisions as she develops the forms of the subject. Her goal with her daily painting is to teach herself how to be more efficient. Create forms more efficiently and draw more accurately quickly within the painting. She starts a fresh painting every day, allowing herself to prove what she learned the day before.
So grab some brushes and paint and get into a healthy habit of daily painting!
